How to kill a dragon

Dragons seem to spawn randomly, pretty much everywhere. Killing regular dragons is quite easy if you do it right, and reward you materials for making dragon armor, as well as souls for unlocking 'shouts'. What I suggest is using archery. I'm leveled up pretty high in archery so I do a lot of damage, but I think this would be the easiest method for any character. If you stand your ground, take note that dragons can use a variety of Shout powers, including fire breathing and ice breathing, among others. Oftentimes you can even lure dragons over to other enemies, preferably a more rugged enemy like a Giant, to trick the two (or three) into fighting each other, allowing you to sit back and deliver the killing blow when the time is right. Followers also prove to be fruitful in their efforts to defend you and themselves, as they typically draw the dragon's ire unto themselves to keep the heat off you.

Get behind cover when the dragon uses a shout power (such as fire or ice breathing).
So basically:
  • Use your bow.
  • Keep a distance.
  • Try luring the dragon to other NPC's.
  • When the dragon is flying around just wait for it to land. Don't waste your arrows.
  • If you get hurt, get into cover and use your healing magic :)

Skyrim Dragon Armor Tutorial

The dragon armor is the strongest armor in Skyrim. You will need to kill dragons to collect scales and bones. I suggest buying a house so you can store these materials along the way. Don't sell them!

You need reach smith level 100. To do this easily you need to buy lots of iron gots and leather strips go on blacksmith forge to build iron daggers. Repeat the process to make your smith level up. When your smith reaches level 100 use the perks on smithing until the dragon armor, after you do that go on workbench and use more dragon scales and bones to improve the armor.

Buying a house in Skyrim

  1. You must be approved by the local Jarl of each major city. You can buy decorations from the steward.
  2. Houses have non-respawning containers where you can safely store items.
  3. When you sleep in your own bed you get a temporary boost to your Health and Magicka.
  4. If married, your spouse will wait for you in your house. Housecarls will also stay ih
  5. There is no limit to the amount of houses you can own.
